Title:Title III Curriculum Specialist/Activity Director
Reports to:Title III Program Director

Duties and Responsibilities:

CLASSIFICATION:  Grant Funded through September 30, 2019

STATUS:  Full time, exempt

LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months

JOB OVERVIEW:  Under the general direction of the Title III Program Director, the Curriculum Specialist/Activity Director is responsible for leading the development work for online/hybrid course component of the Connors State College Title III grant.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop/deliver/facilitate faculty development focused on integration of P.R.I.D.E. into online/hybrid courses
  • Oversee day-to-day project activities and achievement of project objectives related to the online/hybrid course component of the Connors State College Title III grant
  • Work with the Native American Success Cultural Center Director in identifying Native American experts to serve as advisors and presenters for faculty development activities
  • Coordinate/schedule Native American experts from local tribes to work with faculty in integration of culturally responsive teaching strategies
  • Coordinate with Instructional Designer in distance course development utilizing Quality Matters
  • Assist with project evaluation, during and after grant period
  • Purchase, coordinate, and evaluate services for the online program

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong evidence of Native American Tribal/Cultural knowledge
  • Excellent leadership, written and oral communication skills
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail
  • Must be a self-starter, able to prioritize tasks to meet multiple deadlines
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to act ethically and socially responsible

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Master's preferred, Bachelor's degree required, in Education, Native American Studies, or similar field
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in online curriculum development

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to pull, bend, stoop, and lift 25 pounds
