The Connors State Livestock Judging Team participated at a national contest in Texas at the San Antonio Livestock Exposition on February 25. Fifteen teams from across the country and 126 contestants were competing. Connors finished with Reserve Champion honors behind Redlands by a mere 4 points. On their way to their 2nd place overall finish, they were 1st in the Reasons division as well as Goats, and were 2nd in Swine. Individually, Blake Davis was 3rd High Overall and Jordan Richburg was 4th Overall. Those two placed in the top 10 in three other divisions, Cattle, Goats, and Reasons, while Hattie Anastasio earned top 10 awards in Reasons and Swine. The team members also include Laine Martin, Claire Martin, Olivia Foster, Cameron Curry, Caleb Russell, Lindsay Bowman, Jessica Miller, Michael Arceneaux, Hunter McAlister, and Bradley Womack. The team will conclude its season at the Houston Stock Show Monday, March 12.
