Cowboys Headed to the National Tournament


Connors State basketball fans that are unable to make the trip to Hutchinson, Kan., on Tuesday, March 19 to support the Cowboys at the NJCAA National Tournament can view the Cowboys first round game on the internet.

The Cowboys will be making their 7th trip to the NJCAA National Tournament under head coach Bill Muse and will open first round tournament play against Motlow (Tenn.) State at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19th   at the Sports Arena in Hutchinson, Kan.

The Cowboys (24-8) are the 19th seed and received an at-large berth after finishing runner-up in the Region II Tournament last Saturday in Shawnee.

Motlow (Tenn.) State with a 25-3 record is the 14th seed in the tournament. Motlow won the Region 7 championship, defeating Jackson (Tenn.) State 88-82.

The winner will advance to the quarterfinals against the No. 3 seed Central Florida (30-3) on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
