Cowgirls Softball Coach Signs Nine Players for Next Season

Connors State College softball coach Rick Carbone has announced the signing of nine high school players to National Junior College Athletic Association letters-of-intent.

Joining the Cowgirls on the diamond next fall are  Sam Perry a shortstop/ outfielder from Pryor, Rikki Wooten, shortstop/outfielder from McLoud, Amanda O’Neal, outfielder from McLoud; Jessica Christian, a pitcher from Liberty Mounds, Jenna Reed of Tahlequah; Chelsie Drew a utility player from Vian; infielder Kail Romine, catcher Erin Isham from Hilldale and pitcher Caitlyn Craig of Fort Gibson.

“I believe we have signed some quality players who can come in and help us immediately,” said Carbone. “They all will provide a lot of depth to our team, which we feel can be outstanding.

“All of these players have the potential to play at the next level in a couple of years,” said Carbone.
