CSC Golden Bull Sale is Record Setting

Connors State College (CSC) hosted their 50thAnniversary Bull Test Sale on Thursday, November 29. The golden sale set records among attendance numbers and the average sale of the bulls. Ranchers, community members and other potential buyers packed into the newly renovated bull sale facility on the Warner campus to observe 84 top notch bulls run through the ring and to grab lunch served by the CSC Aggie Club. Buyers came from Arkansas, Missouri, Texas, Kansas, Ohio and from around the state of Oklahoma to see this year’s bull selection.  The average sale totaled $2,950 for the entire selection. Buyers had their pick of performance tested bulls from breeds including: Angus, Simmental, Charolais, Maine Anjou, Red Angus, Lim-Flex, Shorthorn and Composite. The Angus Bull, Gran Torrino was the highest selling bull  and came from the Kiamichi Link Ranch. The sale totaled $8,400. “This years record setting sale was definitely fitting to celebrate our 50th anniversary,” said Blake Nelson, CSC Farm Manager. Nelson credits the sale’s success to , “A strong cattle market and an outstanding group of bulls that the consigners brought.” 

Buyers and spectators came from five different states to the CSC 50th Anniversary Bull Sale.
