The Connors State College Recruitment Department held an open house at their Muskogee West campus on Thursday June 26, 2014. Current and future students, as well as many community members were there to learn more about what Connors has to offer.
“I think the event went very well,” said CSC’s Director of Recruitment, Logan Knapper. “We had a good turn out and were able to meet a lot of potential students.”
Many different departments from Connors participated in the event, offering advice and information. Lisa Wade, director of the Muskogee Difference Healthcare Scholarship talked to participants about the free scholarship offered through Connors State College and the City of Muskogee Foundation.
“We have partnered with the City of Muskogee Foundation to offer free tuition for students living in Muskogee County working to obtain a degree in nursing or allied health,” said Wade. “It’s a great program that is helping Muskogee County students achieve their dreams, while also adding to our local health care workforce.”
In addition to valuable information, attendees were offered free pizza and drinks as well as CSC shirts and other merchandise. Muskogee radio station Okie Country 101.7 FM was on site to offer free T-shirts.
Connors will host a second open house on the Warner campus in the Fine Arts building on Sat., July 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information call (918) 463-6270 or visit www.connorsstate.edu.
