High School Seniors Come to Campus for Senior Day
High School seniors from all around Oklahoma and the surrounding states packed into the Connors State College (CSC) Fine Arts Auditorium to learn all about what the college could offer them. “We surround you with people who care just as much about your success as you do,” said President of CSC, Dr. Tim Faltyn. “We connect you with your future. You can go anywhere you want from right here at Connors State,” added Faltyn. More than 300 students and parents listened on as representatives from financial aid, the foundation, student life and the student success center spoke about their respective departments. Following the speakers, students were separated into groups determined by the degree interests. Student guided tours took up the rest of the morning as they shared the facilities as well as their personal experience at the college. The Senior Day festivities concluded with lunch in the student union cafeteria where they were greeted with informational bags and free t-shirts. “We wanted to give the seniors as much of an actual college experience as possible. From pairing them up with students for tours to serving them lunch from the college cafeteria. The best way to show them what we offer is to put them right in the mix of it all.” said Director of Recruitment Logan Knapper.
