Don’t know how or where to search for articles for your assignments using the library’s online subscription databases?

The HOW IT WORKS link will take you to MURALS, an online series of library user guides to help you in your search for library materials from Connors’ subscription and non-subscription databases. The user guides consist of brief, 1-3 minute Flash tutorials on a specific topic. Simply click on the name of the tutorial as listed on the HOW IT WORKS page and a Flash video tutorial will appear within 2-10 seconds.

There are 7 HOW IT WORKS categories. They are:

  • HOW IT WORKS – SUBSCRIPTION PERIODICAL DATABASES provides an introduction to the 25+ databases Connors has provided by the vendor, EBSCO; the 5 databases provided by the vendor, ProQuest; and, the 5 databases provided by the vendor, Gale/Cengage, also known as InfoTrac.

  • HOW IT WORKS – MEDICAL INFORMATION provides information on several popular and authoritative online medical sites.
