CHDV - Advisement

When you reach 30 credit hours "earned", you will need to request a "degree check" in the Registrar's office. This just ensures you are on the right track. Keep a copy of this in your Notebook...it'll come in handy for advisement purposes!

Tip: If you change your degree, you start on the current plan in place. For example, if you change your degree, you will have to use the most recent plan--it may or may not be different from the one that was in place when you started!

Tip: If you sit out a semester, when you come back, you start on the most recent plan. For example, if changes were made in the AA degree plan during the time you were "sitting out"; your plan of study will be checked against the "new" plan. Again, it may or may not have ramifications for you.

Tip: You MUST complete your "O" level hours as soon as possible. If you are required to take any English or Math basics, get started on these right away! There is a 24 hour limit---meaning, you have to have those basics out of the way before you accumulate 24 hours.

Tip: Your advisors recommend no more than 2 child development courses per semester due to course time, lab time, and intensity.
