Over 250 Attend CSC Senior Day

Prospective students left with free Connors gear

Connors State College Recruitment Department hosted their annual senior day at the Warner Campus. Over 250 high school seniors, parents and counselors came to visit the campus to see what opportunities were available at Connors. Seniors traveled from all around the state from Roland to Miami. Logan Knapper, Director of Recruitment said, “We had a tremendous turnout. We use this time with the potential students to educate them on all aspects of college, from our degree programs to student activities.” Prospective students were split into groups depending on what field of study they were interested in. This gave our Professors time to speak directly to the students in their field of expertise and share with them what career opportunities are available. President of Connors State College, Dr. Tim Faltyn gave the welcoming speech encouraging students that college is about “teaching them how to think.” Further saying that “a little work up front will give you the life you want instead of struggling for the life you want.” Current students, PLC, Ag Ambassadors, SGA and PTK groups all volunteered to show the prospective students around the college in a campus wide tour. The day wrapped up with lunch in the cafeteria and students leaving with not only their bellies full, but their hands  filled with a free Connors t-shirt and a bright orange drawstring bag.
