Students Bring Creativity to CSC Science Fair

Students from nearly 20 high school and middle schools brought their experiments to the Connors State College sponsored Science Fair at the Muskogee Civic Center. Each year, Dr. Stuart Woods organizes the event and this year over 220 students participated by verbally and visually presented their projects to expert judges. Students were placed into certain categories including, Behavioral and Social Science, Botany, Chemistry, Earth and Space, Engineering, Environmental Science, Mathematics and Computers, Medical Health Science and Biochemistry, Physics, and Zoology.

Participants really put their creativity to work including experiments ranging from fertilization to theories of throwing a baseball and beyond. Judges will use the remainder of the day to tally up the final scores and will announce the winners at an awards ceremony February 13 at 10 a.m. at the Muskogee Civic Center.
