The mission of the Cherokee Promise Scholarship is to provide opportunity for Cherokee scholars to successfully accomplish their undergraduate goals while creating lifelong professional relationships and increasing ones Cherokee identity.
What makes Cherokee Promise different from other CN scholarships?
CPS provides $9,200, annually, to provide assistance with tuition, fees, housing and meal plans.
CP is a Learning Living Community. Scholars make a home away from home in the Cherokee Promise Residence Hall.
Scholars participate in Cherokee cultural and language activities and will receive 9 University credit hours of Elementary Cherokee.
Are You Eligible?
- Cherokee Nation citizen living within jurisdictional area
- Accepted to Connors State College
- Meet HUD income guidelines
- Priority will be given to incoming freshmen
