Connors State College and the Warner Chamber of Commerce are teaming up for the 24th annual “Cow Chip Day” on October 1.
The day will feature a parade down Main Street of Warner and a “Cow Drop” game, which is Cow Chip Bingo, with the proceeds raised going for a scholarship at Connors State.
“The college is grateful for the opportunity to engage our students and our community at the same time,” said Dr. Tim Faltyn, President of Connors State College. “I feel it’s important to support our community.”
“It’s important that our students become involved in the community and be community-minded,” said Dr. Faltyn.
Also being held in conjunction with the Cow Chip Day is a Mr. and Mrs. Cow Chip beauty pageant for youngsters on September 24.
Connors State will sponsor a fireworks show and band on October 1. CSC will also have several booths at the event with T-shirts and door prizes to be given away during the event.
