Connors State College hosted one of its best bull sales ever on Dec. 1. The sale consisted of 65 top notch performance tested bulls that left the ring with an average price of $2,680.00. These prices were the second highest ever since the inception of the bull test in 1962.The highest selling bull was a Sim-Angus bull raised by Wilson Cattle Co. of Pittsburg, OK that brought $6,000.00. CSC Director of Farm Operations, Blake Nelson accredits the success to, A great offering of bulls and a strong cattle market.” This was also the first sale in the newly renovated sale facility. The crowd and supporters were pleased with the improvements. Auctioneer Bruce Brooks stated, ” The updates to the sale facility was much needed and it is a sign of the commitment of Connors State to the beef business and to the success of the Division of Agriculture.
