The simulation center or “sim lab” is where all aspects of nursing education are brought together and applied. In the simulation center, skills are taught, developed, and mastered. Communication skills will be practiced and demonstrated, and the practical application of critical thinking to nursing practice will be instilled and honed. Being immersed in simulation across all four semesters will strongly contribute to enabling future Registered Nurses to function as respected professionals in healthcare delivery. Success in quickly building such high-level skills requires multiple teaching modalities and tools.
