Students can encounter the great outdoors at the Wilderness Adventure program offered by Connors State College and the Oklahoma GEAR UP U program this summer!
This totally FREE science and leadership development opportunity is open to students entering ninth, 10th and 11th grades. This program is sponsored by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education’s GEAR UP program, a federal grant program that helps students and families prepare for college.

Camp participants will be housed at the Connors State College Miller’s Crossing complex. Students will spend most of their experience at the Connor State’s 1,300 acre ranch, located just south of Warner.

Students will experience numerous nature activities, such as research projects on two lakes, monitoring a burying beetle as part of a federally licensed census project and handling snakes and spiders. Students will also have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and learn more information about how to prepare successfully for college.

Spots are filling up quickly so register today!
