Connors State Cowboys have been named one the best of the rest in the 2011-12 Sporting News College Basketball preseason magazine just released.
The Cowboys under head coach Bill Muse is ranked 18th in the Sporting News preseason junior college basketball poll.
Muses Cowboys, who were ranked No. 1 in the nation last season for two weeks, opens the 2011-12 basketball season on Nov. 1 against Mid America Christian at Melvin Self Fieldhouse. Tip-off is 7 p.m.
