If I cannot activate my account, what do I do?


If you have enrolled recently (for students) or submitted paperwork recently (for employees), you may not be in our system just yet. Simply wait 24 hours and try again. If you still cannot activate your account, please send an email to cschelp@connorsstate.edu with the following information, at minimum:

  • Name (First, Last, and Middle Initial plus any other names your account might be under)
  • CWID Number (8-digit number that can be found on the back of your ID card)
  • Birth Date (MM/DD/YYYY)
  • Contact Information (email address, non-CSC email address if you cannot access your CSC email account, and phone number)
  • Description of Your Problem (with any error messages you may have encountered)

If I cannot access my account, what do I do?


If, for some reason, you cannot access your account because of a forgotten password, account expiration, etc. please follow the C-Key Account Reset Instructions above to reset your account and regain access to CSC systems.

How do I reset my account?


If you find that you are having issues accessing your previous account, please use the included C-Key Account Reset instructions to reset your login information.
NOTE: In order to successfully reset your account using the included C-Key Reset Instructions, please type your previous email with a @connorsstate.edu suffix instead of a @okstate.edu, @neo.edu, etc. suffix.

If you continue to experience issues, please submit an email to cschelp@connorsstate.edu with, at minimum, the following information:

  • Name (First, Last, and Middle Initial plus any other names your account might be under)
  • CWID Number (8-digit number that can be found on the back of your ID card)
  • Birth Date (MM/DD/YYYY)
  • Contact Information (email address, non-CSC email address if you cannot access your CSC email account, and phone number)

What do I do with my PIN?


Your PIN is a unique six-digit numeric code used to activate your account.
Please see the C-Key Account Activation Instructions above for details on where to enter your PIN during the activation process.

What do I do with my TOKEN?


Your TOKEN is a unique eight-character alpha-numeric code used to reset your account.
Please see the C-Key Account Reset Instructions above for details on where to enter your TOKEN during the reset process.

How long is a PIN or TOKEN active?


Your PIN number is used to activate your account. It will remain active until you activate your C-Key account. Your TOKEN, on the other hand, is used to reset your account. It will remain active for only 24 hours before being automatically deactivated by the C-Key system.

What do I do if I don't have a PIN number?


You should receive a PIN number from the Admissions Office upon your enrollment.
If you did not receive a PIN number, please visit the Admissions Office again and they can retrieve your PIN for you.
If you cannot return to campus, you may email the CSC IT Systems Department Helpdesk for assistance at cschelp@connorsstate.edu with the following information, at minimum:

  • Name (First, Last, and Middle Initial plus any other names your account might be under)
  • CWID Number (8-digit number that can be found on the back of your ID card)
  • Birth Date (MM/DD/YYYY)
  • Contact Information (email address, non-CSC email address if you cannot access your CSC email account, and phone number)
  • Description of Your Problem (with any error messages you may have encountered)

I cannot get past the screen requesting my last (family) name, last five digits of my SSN, and date of birth. What do I do?


Please take note of the exact information required and verify you are providing it correctly. Common mistakes include not using the last 5 digits of your SSN, typing your birth date in an incorrect format, or not using the first two letters of your last (family) name. If you are certain that your information is correct but are still experiencing issues you may visit the Admissions Office to check the accuracy of the information we have on file for you. Occasionally, a typo will occur that can cause issues when trying to activate. If you cannot visit the Admissions Office you may email the CSC IT Systems Department Helpdesk for assistance at cschelp@connorsstate.edu with the following information, at minimum:

  • Name (First, Last, and Middle Initial plus any other names your account might be under)
  • CWID Number (8-digit number that can be found on the back of your ID card)
  • Birth Date (MM/DD/YYYY)
  • Contact Information (email address, non-CSC email address if you cannot access your CSC email account, and phone number)

I am trying to assist a student with C-Key Activation but their PIN field is blank on SCT Screen 103. What do I do?


If a student does not have a PIN on SCT Screen 103, please contact the IT Systems Department and we can randomly generate a new six-digit numeric PIN.
NOTE: Once a new PIN is generated, please notify the student to wait overnight for the PIN to sync with the C-Key system unless otherwise
instructed by an IT Systems employee.

What do I do if I can't get a TOKEN because my cell phone and alternate email address aren't working or are incorrect?


Please contact the CSC IT Systems Department Helpdesk at cschelp@connorsstate.edu with the following information, at minimum:

  • Name (First, Last, and Middle Initial plus any other names your account might be under)
  • CWID Number (8-digit number that can be found on the back of your ID card)
  • Birth Date (MM/DD/YYYY)

I received a TOKEN but wasn't able to use it within the 24-hour time limit. What should I do?


If you were unable to use your TOKEN to reset your account within the 24-hour time limit, you will need a new TOKEN in order to proceed.
Please use the C-Key Account Reset Instructions above to retrieve another TOKEN and proceed.

I cannot retrieve a TOKEN because I am unable to login to a computer on campus and cannot access the C-Key website. What do I do?


The C-Key system is accessible from anywhere so you can manage your account from home or elsewhere. However, if you do not have an alternative means to access the C-Key system, then you may visit one of the CSC Library locations. You can utilize a temporary login here in order for you to successfully retrieve a TOKEN and reset your account. Please speak with a CSC employee in the Library for assistance. If you cannot visit a Library location and have no other means to access the C-Key system, please contact the CSC IT Systems Department Helpdesk at cschelp@connorsstate.edu with the following information, at minimum:

  • Name (First, Last, and Middle Initial plus any other names your account might be under)
  • CWID Number (8-digit number that can be found on the back of your ID card)
  • Birth Date (MM/DD/YYYY)
  • Contact Information (email address, non-CSC email address if you cannot access your CSC email account, and phone number)

I am trying to assist a student with C-Key Reset but they do not have the option to send the TOKEN to their mobile phone or alternate email. What do I do?


If a student does not have the mobile phone or alternate email option available to retrieve a TOKEN then please contact the CSC IT Systems Department Helpdesk at
cschelp@connorsstate.edu with the following information, at minimum:

  • Name (First, Last, and Middle Initial plus any other names your account might be under)
  • CWID Number (8-digit number that can be found on the back of your ID card)
  • Birth Date (MM/DD/YYYY)
  • Contact Information (email address, non-CSC email address if you cannot access your CSC email account, and phone number)
  • Description of The Student’s Problem (with any error messages they may have encountered)

I know my password but need to change it for security reasons. What do I do?


Login to C-Key, select “Change Password”, read the notice and select the “Continue” button, and then either select one of the passwords provided or create your own.

I need to reset my account but I'm not sure what my login address is?


Your login address is simply your email address (e.g. firstname.lastname@connorsstate.edu). If you cannot remember your login address, please contact the CSC IT Systems Department Helpdesk at cschelp@connorsstate.edu with the following information, at minimum:

  • Name (First, Last, and Middle Initial plus any other names your account might be under)
  • CWID Number (8-digit number that can be found on the back of your ID card)
  • Birth Date (MM/DD/YYYY)
  • Contact Information (email address, non-CSC email address if you cannot access your CSC email account, and phone number)

Can CSC staff activate my account for me?


In short, no, we cannot. Due to the complex nature of the system and privacy laws, you must activate and maintain your own account. Instructions for account activation and account resets are included above to assist you with these processes.

Can CSC staff reset my account for me?


In short, no, we cannot. Due to the complex nature of the system and privacy laws, you must reset and maintain your own account. However, we can provide a reset TOKEN to aide you using the C-Key account reset process. Simply follow the C-Key Account Reset Instructions above.

What systems can I access with my C-Key account?


Currently, your C-Key login credentials may be used to access CSC email, your office or teaching area PC (for staff), computer lab and library PCs, the Student Information System, and the Software Distribution Center. Early in the Spring 2011 Semester you will be required to log onto WiFi with your C-Key credentials and in Summer 2011, Blackboard/WebCT will incorporate C-Key login credentials.

If I am not a CSC student or employee, how do I get a C-Key Account?


Only individuals affiliated with the OSU A&M System of Institutions will be eligible to setup a C-Key Account.

How can I access a computer or system on the CSC campus if I am not a student or employee?


If you are visiting a library location, please speak with a CSC employee there to obtain a temporary login credentials to access the internet.
If you are visiting the CSC campus in an official capacity and need access to a PC in an area other than the library or the wireless network, please contact the CSC IT Systems Department Helpdesk at cschelp@connorsstate.edu and provide the following information, at minimum:

  • Name
  • Organization
  • Meeting location and time (Please note that you must speak with either Ms. Esther King (Warner) or Ms. Rhoda Strode (Muskogee) to schedule a room prior to making any arrangements with the CSC
    IT Systems Department. We are unable to schedule rooms and meeting locations for you.)
  • Contact Information (email address and phone number)
  • Number of Attendees Needing Temporary Login Information
  • Any Special Requests (including any systems or special settings you might need)

NOTE: We must receive these requests at a minimum of 48 hours prior to the meeting time. Also, no open logins are provided. All temporary logins expire regularly and are not available for long durations.

I already setup my account but now I cannot login. What do I do?


If you have already gone through the C-Key Account Activation process but can no longer access your account, please use the C-Key Account Reset Instructions above to reset your account.
NOTE:
All account passwords expire every 120 days so even though you may have setup your account, your password will eventually expire.

I was in process of activating my C-Key account but I could not finish because my session timed out on me, my browser crashed, my computer crashed, etc. What do I do?


If you were interrupted during your C-Key Account Activation process then most likely you have found that you cannot login nor complete the C-Key Account Activation process again. In order to successfully complete the process, please submit an email to cschelp@connorsstate.edu with, at minimum, the following information:

  • Name (First, Last, and Middle Initial plus any other names your account might be under)
  • CWID Number (8-digit number that can be found on the back of your ID card)
  • Birth Date (MM/DD/YYYY)
  • Contact Information (email address, non-CSC email address if you cannot access your CSC email account, and phone number)
  • Description of Your Problem (including “Please re-enable my C-Key account activation code switch.”)

I have attended an OSU A&M institution before. What must I do to gain access to the C-Key system?


If you have attended one of the following institutions, then you should already have a C-Key account or comparable account that can be used to access the C-Key system.

  • OSU-CHS
  • OSU-OKC
  • OSU-Okmulgee
  • OSU-Stillwater
  • OSU-Tulsa
  • Connors State College
  • Langston University
  • Northeastern Oklahoma A&M
  • Oklahoma Panhandle State University
  • Northern Oklahoma College

If you do not remember your credentials or are having other issues logging in, please use the C-Key Account Reset Instructions above to reset your account and gain access.

I have contacted the CSC IT Systems Helpdesk but have not yet received a response. What should I do?


The CSC IT Systems Department consists of three full-time employees and one part-time employee. Because of this we are often unable to provide immediate turn-around time on all issues and respond to all emails immediately upon their receipt. Please give us adequate time to answer your inquiry and if you believe it has taken too long for a response, please submit a request again.
In some circumstances, we have noticed that a help request does not contain any return contact information or this information was simply a typo. If this is the case then the CSC IT Systems Department will be unable to determine how to contact you. If you believe this may be the reason you have not heard back from us, please resubmit a ticket to cschelp@connorsstate.edu with correct contact information including, at minimum, the following information:

  • Name (First, Last, and Middle Initial plus any other names your account might be under)
  • CWID Number (8-digit number that can be found on the back of your ID card)
  • Birth Date (MM/DD/YYYY)
  • Contact Information (email address, non-CSC email address if you cannot access your CSC email account, and phone number)
  • Description of Your Problem (with any error messages you may have encountered)

I am receiving an error similar to the following: 'The information you entered does not correspond to anyone in our records.' What should I do?


Depending on when you have enrolled (for students) or your information was entered by payroll (for employees) your C-Key account information may not yet exist which will prevent you from setting up an account. Please allow a minimum of 24 hours after your information is entered to first try to activate your C-Key account.
If you have surpassed the 24-hour window and still receive this message, please verify you are using the correct login information:

  • First two letters of your last (family) name
  • Last 5 digits of your Social Security Number
  • Date of Birth in proper format mm/dd/yyyy

If you believe you are using the correct information above, you can verify all your information by visiting our Admissions office or sending a request to the CSC IT Systems Department Helpdesk: cschelp@connorsstate.edu.

NOTE: When sending a request, please provide, at minimum, the following information:

  • Name (First, Last, and Middle Initial plus any other names your account might be under)
  • CWID Number (8-digit number that can be found on the back of your ID card)

When I try to activate my C-Key account, my name is showing incorrectly so that my email address suggestions are not accurate. What do I do?


There can be many reasons for your name to show incorrectly in C-Key. Please select the option you believe may be causing your issues for further instructions:

  • Marriage
        A recent marriage resulting in a name change may not be reflected if the Admissions office (for students) or the Human Resources office
        (for employees) was not notified of the change. Please stop by the Admission office (if you are a student) or the Human Resources office (if you are an employee)
        and notify them of the name change. You will most likely need to supply official documentation to process ths change but more information can be obtained directly
        from these offices. Once the corrected information has been entered, please allow the C-Key system to update overnight before continuing with an email change,
      name verification, etc.
  • Typographic Error
        Occasionally, a typo can occur when entering data. When this happens, please visit the appropriate department to correct the typo. If you are a student, please
        visit the Admissions office. If you are an employee, please visit the Human Resources office. Once the corrected information has been entered, please allow the
      C-Key system to update overnight before continuing with an email change, name verification, etc.
  • Voluntary Name Change
        After a voluntary name change, you must notify the Admissions office (if you’re a student) or the Human Resources office (if you’re an employee).
      Once the corrected information has been entered, please allow the C-Key system to update overnight before continuing with an email change, name verification, etc.
  • Preferred First Name
      If your first name isn’t showing correctly, you can change this yourself. Simply login to C-Key, select “Edit Contact Information”, then select “Preferred First Name”. From here you can provide a preferred first name to use such as a nickname or short name for your actual first name. Once this is updated, you may go back and select a different email address.
  • Other
        If you are unsure why your name is not showing up correctly, please contact the CSC IT Systems Department Helpdesk at

  • I would like to change my email address. What do I do?


    To change your current email address, please login to C-Key, select “Change Login Address”, and select the new email address you would like to use.

    I am trying to assist a student with a problem not described here. What do I do?


    Please help the student contact the CSC IT Systems Department Helpdesk at cschelp@connorsstate.edu with the following information, at minimum:

    • Name (First, Last, and Middle Initial plus any other names your account might be under)
    • CWID Number (8-digit number that can be found on the back of your ID card)
    • Birth Date (MM/DD/YYYY)
    • Contact Information (email address, non-CSC email address if you cannot access your CSC email account, and phone number)
    • Description of The Student’s Problem (with any error messages they may have encountered)
